Elixia Pines/Hollywood site located in Hollywood, Florida was established in 2019 and is supported by a dedicated team of 12 staff members. The team includes a Site Lead (VP of Dialysis Operations), six Clinical Research Coordinators, among them one Nurse Practitioner and one Physician Assistant who also serve as Sub-Investigators when needed, and six Research Assistants, one of whom is also a laboratory technician. We collaborate closely with our Regulatory Team to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and to maintain the highest standards of clinical research conduct.

Venkat Amara, MD
Dr. Venkat Amara completed his Internal Medicine residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in New York, followed by a Nephrology fellowship at The Ohio State University. Originally from South India, he is fluent in English, Hindi, and Telugu. Dr. Amara began his research career as a Sub-Investigator in 2019 and transitioned to the role of Principal Investigator in 2022. He has since led multiple clinical trials, primarily focused on chronic kidney disease (CKD). His experience includes regulatory compliance and safeguarding patient welfare.

Robert Levinson, MD
Robert L. Levinson, MD, is a nephrologist in Florida. He has over 55 years of experience in the medical field. He is also an experienced Clinical Research Investigator with over 50 years of experience in managing Phase I-IV clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas, including CKD, oncology and cardiology.
Elie Ciril, MD
Dr. Ciril completed his Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York. Originally from Port-au-Prince, Haiti he is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Haitian Creole. Dr. Ciril began his research career as a Sub-Investigator in 2019.
